This is Sonya Horton, principal of Southern Nash Middle School, with the weekly announcements for Monday, May 6, 2024 - Friday, May 10, 2024.
We have 12 instructional days before student's begin EOG testing. Please make sure your child is at school every day and ready to learn. Let's finish the school year off strong! We will have an EOG celebration on May 29th.
We have a lot of exciting events this week at school.
Congratulations to the baseball team for making it to the championship! They will play Monday night against Elm City! Please come out and support them! It should be an exciting game!
Thursday, May 9th is our ELS/Stem Night from 5:30-6:30. Please come out and see our student presentations and all the wonderful things our students have been working so hard on. While you are there, please do not forget to visit the book fair!! The bookfair will run this entire week at school as well.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Please make sure we show our teachers and staff just how much we appreciate them. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this week special for our staff! They certainly deserve it!!
Parents, if your child owes money to the cafeteria, please make sure you turn this in as soon as possible.
Congratulations to the soccer and cross country team on their seasons!!
The 8th grade band traveled to Busch Gardens on Friday. They received first place in their class with a rating of excellent! Congratulations to Ms. Howell and these band students on all their hard work!
