Message From the Principal

Good evening,

Remediation will take place on Monday, June 9th and this will be a full day of school. Tuesday, June 10th will be the retest for Math and Wednesday, June 11th will be the retest for Reading, and these days will be an early release day. Please contact to the school with any questions.

Yearbooks have been shipped. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and I will send out a message once they arrive.

To my rising 9th grade families, if you have any extra uniform shirts, hoodies, and pants that you are willing to donate, please turn them into the front office.

As we wrap up this wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your continued support, kindness, and partnership. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with your children and watch them grow, learn, and shine.

Your involvement and encouragement have made a tremendous difference, and together we've created a truly special year full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories.

Wishing you and your families a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer! I hope it’s filled with sunshine, adventures, and plenty of time to relax and recharge.

Have a great evening!

Thank you for your support,

Sonya Horton, Principal

Immunization Requirements for Rising 7th graders:

We want your child to remain healthy and help them be protected against illness from vaccine-preventable diseases. This is a reminder that your child’s vaccines are due soon.

Students entering 7th grade are required to have one dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4). The vaccine must be MCV4 vaccine- NOT the meningitis B vaccine.

An up-to-date immunization record indicating that your student has received all required immunizations is due by the first day of attendance at school for the upcoming school year. If proof of immunization is not provided within 30 calendar days after school entry, your student will not be allowed to attend school until it is provided, as required by law.

Contact your doctor/health care provider or local health department to meet this immunization requirement.

Submit your child’s updated immunization record to Nurse Wingfield.
