Message From the Principal
Good Evening Cobra Families,
This upcoming week there is an early release day for students on Wednesday, March 19th at 1:30pm. Also, there will be no school on Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 21st as we have teacher workdays. The 3rd nine weeks will end on Wednesday, March 19th and report cards will go home on Tuesday, March 25th. Please contact your student's teacher with any questions or concerns.
The Candy Bar Fundraiser has been extended until Wednesday, March 26th. Students are able to get boxes of candy through this date.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Curriculum Night, Thursday March 27th from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the Gym and 400 Building. There will be students exhibiting projects, clubs sharing information, the jazz band will be playing, and the Book Fair will be open! This is a great opportunity to see what SNMS has going on!!
Our SNMS Spring Book Fair will open Monday, March 24th and run through Friday, March 28th. It will be open an hour before Curriculum night begins. This year we are using Scholastic, so there will be lots of new books and items to choose from.
Students will be selling St. Patrick Day items on Monday, March 17th. The money will go towards the 8th grade dance on May 2nd.
Thank you for your support,
Sonya Horton, Principal

NCPS has switched student information systems over the summer. We are no longer using PowerSchool or Parent Portal; instead, we've transitioned to the new NCSIS, powered by Infinite Campus.
So, what does this mean for you? You will receive an email from Infinite Campus to set up your account. Parents and Guardians, please look for an email titled "NCPS Campus Parent User Account Activation." This email will contain a unique link that provides the activation code for each student.
What if I did not receive an email?
You can reach out to our data manager for support.
Will we still use Rooms? Absolutely! Rooms will continue to be used for communication between your child’s teacher and you, the guardian.
Will we still use the NCPS App? Yes! The NCPS App is on a different platform and is not changing.
The only difference is that PowerSchool Parent Portal is now Infinite Campus. What you were familiar with as Parent Portal is now called Campus Parent and Campus Student.
Campus Parent and Campus Student, the Infinite Campus web portals and mobile apps, provide parents, guardians, and students with real-time access to grades, attendance, assignments, and schedules.
