Good Evening Cobra Families,
February 28th started our Candy Bar Fundraiser Kickoff. Students will continue to be able to get a box of candy bars through March 18 with a signed permission form.
Congratulations to Zoe Comerford who placed 2nd in the state for the NC FFA Middle Grades Prepared Public Speaking competition! We are so proud of you!
March 14th will be our Spring Dance for all grade levels. The dance will be from 3:30-5:30. It is a $10.00 entry fee and concessions will be sold.
Students will be selling St. Patrick Day items this week. The money will go towards the 8th grade dance on May 2nd.

SNMS Spanish Immersion Students traveled to Greensboro to compete against other Spanish Immersion students from North Carolina.
We have a lot to celebrate at SNMS!! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations to our district spelling bee winner, Jelisia Foy from Southern Nash Middle! She will advance to represent the district at the Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee in Charlotte this March!
Congratulations Mr. Bissette for being named Southern Nash Middle School Teacher of the Year and Mr. Hartsfield for being named Southern Nash Middle School Teacher Assistant of the Year!
Parent Portal Information:
NCPS has switched student information systems over the summer. We are no longer using PowerSchool or Parent Portal; instead, we've transitioned to the new NCSIS, powered by Infinite Campus.
So, what does this mean for you? You will receive an email from Infinite Campus to set up your account. Parents and Guardians, please look for an email titled "NCPS Campus Parent User Account Activation." This email will contain a unique link that provides the activation code for each student.
What if I did not receive an email?
You can reach out to our data manager for support.
Will we still use Rooms? Absolutely! Rooms will continue to be used for communication between your child’s teacher and you, the guardian.
Will we still use the NCPS App? Yes! The NCPS App is on a different platform and is not changing.
The only difference is that PowerSchool Parent Portal is now Infinite Campus. What you were familiar with as Parent Portal is now called Campus Parent and Campus Student.
Campus Parent and Campus Student, the Infinite Campus web portals and mobile apps, provide parents, guardians, and students with real-time access to grades, attendance, assignments, and schedules.
