We are rolling in 2nd semester and we want you to add a few dates to your calendars and come learn with us at Southern Nash:
Feb. 7: Tentative PBIS event for 1st semester students; (it may be postponed due to technical difficulties)
Feb. 10 & 11: Teacher Workdays - No School for students
Feb. 12: FAFSA Support Night @ Southern Nash, 5-7 PM
Feb. 13: NCPS CTE Showcase @ Nash Community College, 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Feb. 18: Band’s Annual Pancake Supper @ Bailey Methodist Church
Feb. 19: Curriculum Night for all students and 8th graders, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Mar. 3: Winter Athletic Awards @ 6 PM
Mar. 28: Junior and Senior Prom - Information
Parents, please remember that morning drop-off is on the main entrance/Spring Hope entry only. At dismissal, if you arrive before the dismissal bell, you can park in the student parking lot along the back row and you will be dismissed quicker!

Don't forget the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is now available. You can access it at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. By completing the FAFSA, you are applying for state and federal grants, scholarships, institutional funding, and federal student loans Click HERE to view FAFSA tutorial videos and HERE for other FAFSA resources.
Upcoming Event: NCPS FAFSA Completion Event
Date/Time: Thursday, January 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm
Location: Nash Community College in the Library
Purpose: Get professional assistance with the completion of the FAFSA.
To prepare for the FAFSA Completion Event, parents/guardians and students should:
Create their Studentaid.gov account in advance. Both students and parents/legal guardians will need accounts.
Gather the required material and information needed to complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA and bring the necessary documentation with them.
