Hello Firebird Families,

Thank you to all who came out to Ag Night this past Friday before the football game and supported our Ag department. It was a great event with all things Ag and even a few surprise giveaways during the game.

This past week our Marching Firebirds, the Ladybirds Volleyball, and Golf teams brought several awards back to the Nest!

Congratulations to the band for their success on Saturday at the Topsail High School Pirate Classic. They placed in the following areas: Drum Major - 1st place, Guard - 2nd place, Perc - 2nd place, Marching - 1st place, Gen Effect - 2nd place, Music - 2nd place, Overall - 2nd place. Way to go band!

Congratulations to the girls Volleyball team for winning their conference tournament last week. Way to go Ladybirds!

Our Ladybirds golf team won the Big East Conference regular season & tournament CHAMPionships!!! Coach Collie was also awarded the conference’s women’s golf Coach of the Year. Awesome job and congratulations to the Ladybirds and Coach Collie!

Finally, Tylik Mitchel was awarded the Student-Athlete Spotlight of the Week for WITN Channel 7.

Thank you to everyone who donated items to our FFA. They have a truck and trailer full of items to be delivered to Western NC. We appreciate all of the donations and how the community and students showed how we Love Southern and Live ALL In with Firebird P.R.I.D.E.
