Dear Knight Families:
Wednesday, May 1st, is Early Release Day. Also, it's College Decision Day! Seniors, please represent the college you will be attending by wearing the attire of that college. We will try to get a group picture.
Parents, please drop off and pick up students in front of the school only.
Friday, May 10th, will be the last day of Knight Time. Students have until May 16th to make up days for time lost in classes.
Important Senior Information can be found here.
Parents, please check your child's grades in PowerSchool. If your child is failing classes, contact your child's teacher. All students will be held to the district promotion standards. To earn a high school credit, students must do the following:
Pass Course (60+) and Proficient on EOC (3 or higher) = Credit Earned
Pass Course (60+) and Not Proficient on EOC (3 or higher) = Required to participate in an Additional Assessment Opportunity May 31 - June 5, 2024
Fail Course (59 or below) and Not Proficient on EOC (3 or higher) = Credit Recovery or Repeat the Course during the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Attendance is essential for students to learn the curriculum and to earn high school credit. Students must be present at least two-thirds of each instructional period (49 minutes for the Knight Time Schedule/60 minutes for the Regular Schedule) to be marked present for that class. Students can only miss up to ten school days to receive credit for the course. They can only make up five days after the missed ten days. The process does not start over once the five days are made up for each class. Any days missed beyond day 14 can be taken to the school attendance committee through the attendance waiver process.
To become a:
Sophomore - 5 credits
Junior - 12 credits
Senior - 20 credits
Graduate - 28 credits
Students entering 12th grade are required to have a booster (second) dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) if they have not already received one. The booster must be MCV4 vaccine- NOT the meningitis B vaccine.
An up-to-date immunization record indicating that your student has received all required immunizations is due by the first day of attendance at school. If proof of immunization is not provided within 30 calendar days after school entry, your student will not be allowed to attend school until it is provided, as required by law.
Contact your doctor/health care provider or local health department to meet this immunization requirement.
Submit your updated immunization record to your school nurse.
We still need some of the students' model release forms. For your child to be in any NEW content for the yearbook or any school-related social media picture, the student's parent/guardian has to Opt-In for their child. All the information can be found by clicking on the link shared on the school website or by clicking the link below.
