We will begin each newsletter with the district promotion standards, so that every update and piece of news will be read through the lens of providing high quality academic and social experiences for all students.
Nash County Public Schools has promotion standards to set expectations for student:

2.student grades (pass all courses with a grade of 60 or higher)
3. proficiency (students perform at grade level on the end of grade tests by earning a 3 or higher)
*Summer school will not be available to assist students who did not meet requirements during the school year.
All End of Year Testing will be in person (as required by the state) at NEDA's campus at 801 Williford St. Please arrive between 8 - 8:15 AM with your fully charged laptop and charger.
The standard test schedule is posted here. If your child receives testing accommodations, her/his test schedule will be shared separately.
Testing proficient on end of year testing is a requirement for promotion and for earning credit for the course in high school. It is VERY important to do your best.
