Parents and Guardians,
The 4-5th graders had a wonderful time at the Sneakerball. Thank you to the parents and PTO for chaperoning and hosting this great event for the students. Thank you to all staff who were able to attend.
There are 48 more school days until the testing window for the EOG begins. We want all students to be a little bit better than they tested before. Please have your 3-5 students complete their Edmentum assignments or learning paths at home for practice. All 3-5 students should know how to log on. Students also can read their library books and take AR tests at school the next day. This helps increase stamina. K-2 students should be reading AR as well and practicing the skill teachers have shared with families to get ready for MCLASS testing. Please contact your student's teacher if you need help with any of this.
This week is the national Read Across America Week. Each day will be a special theme. The themes are listed in the flyer below. On Friday 3/7, k-2 will dress like a Letterland Character. Weather permitting, we will have an outdoor Letterland parade walking down the sidewalks of the school beginning at 9:00am. Parents are welcome to line each side of the sidewalk if you like to take pictures of this parade. Click here for the link of Letterland Characters that you can model from.
Thank you so much for participating in the READ A THON! We raised over $1000 for our school, Ayden Hedgepeth raising the most donations-thank you! Ebrahim Chunara read the most minutes, over 600 min. The entire school read over 3000 minutes. That is incredible!
Basketball and Cheerleading is underway. The times are listed below. Entry to the game is $5 for adults, $3 school aged children, cash for each person. There are also concessions sold at each game. All games are played at Nashville Elementary. Please let your coach know if you cannot attend if you are a player.
