Parents and Guardians,
This week at BES, every student from grades 1-5 will receive a chapter book "The Lemonade War" by J. Davies. We received these books through a Carter Delion Grant Ms. Weaver wrote entitled One Book One School. The students we will reading this book with their class every day from 2:30-2:50 for the next fifteen days. This is the over view, content ideas and schedule if you would like to reread the book at home each night to be part of this awesome experience.
Spring Picture Day - Thursday, March 27
These pictures are prepaid only. We will only photograph students who have a payment envelope with cash, check (payable to Strawbridge), online payment code or a receipt showing the picture have been paid for online. No Exceptions. This needs to be done prior to the student coming to school on Thursday to help us have a smooth picture day and ensure students can be photographed at their scheduled times. A copy of the background and price list is attached. Students should have the price list with the payment envelope attached in their folders.
If you would like to pay for picture online, go to www.strawbridge.net. Click Order Pictures and enter the following code: FM456243. The Online Payment Code should be written on the payment envelope. You must return the payment envelope to your child's teacher by Thursday morning in order for your child to be photographed.
PBIS Pajama Day - Friday, 3/28
Students and staff can pay $2.00 to wear school appropriate pajamas to school on Friday, 3/28. Proceeds will go towards our End of Year PBIS Celebration and prizes. Money is due by Wednesday, March 26.
Class Pictures
If you did not order your child's class picture, we have some extra copies available in the office. The cost is $10.00.
There are 38 more school days until the testing window for the EOG begins. We want all students to be a little bit better than they tested before. Please have your 3-5 students complete their Edmentum assignments or learning paths at home for practice. All 3-5 students should know how to log on. Students also can read their library books and take AR tests at school the next day. This helps increase stamina. K-2 students should be reading AR as well and practicing the skill teachers have shared with families to get ready for MCLASS testing. Please contact your student's teacher if you need help with any of this.
Thank you so much for all of your support during last week's basketball games. Our Little Bobcats were adorable!!!
Best,
Kristen Tedford-Principal
